Looking for fun things to do with mom this weekend? Here are a few things going on around town:

Friday, May 10

Meet and Greet, Rehoboth Canadian Reformed Church, 1225 Dundas St. East

Are you looking to meet new people in the Burlington/Waterdown area? We would love to have you join us from 7:30 to 9 p.m. every other Friday for an evening of coffee, games/activities, and socializing. Feel free to bring any friends or neighbours, or just stop by on your own!

Saturday, May 11

Animal Adoptions of Flamborough Spring Garage Sale, 1269 Centre Rd., Carlisle 

There's something for everyone at  the Animal Adoptions of Flamborough Spring Yard Sale! The spring sale helps AAF raise funds to take care of the cats and dogs we have who are looking for their new Forever Home.

It takes place at the shelter from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Rain date: Sunday, May 12.

Dundas Repair Café, Dundas Town Hall, 60 Main St., Dundas

Do you have items you have been meaning to fix, but you haven’t gotten to it or don’t know how? Drop by the Dundas Repair Café on Sat. May 11 between 10 a.m. -1 p.m. (we stop taking items at 12:30 p.m.)to learn how and have your item fixed. You can find out more information here.

Drive-thru Chicken Dinner, Carlisle United Church (1432 Centre Rd.)

BBQ chicken dinners include home-stye baked beans, cole slaw, roll and brownies; $20 for a quarter chicken, $25 for a half chicken. Pickup times from 4:30 to 6 p.m at Carlisle United Church. All dinners must be ordered and prepaid in advance. Proceeds support the Flamborough Food Bank and the Carlisle and Kilbride United Churches.

Live music at the Waterdown Legion, 79 Hamilton St. North, Waterdown

Put your dancing shoes on for live music by The Pensionaires, 8 p.m. to midnight. Cover charge is $5, and guests are asked to bring along a non-perishable food item for the food bank.

Mother's Day BBQ, Dutch Mill Country Market, 553 Millgrove Side Road

Treat mom to a BBQ lunch at the Dutch Mill, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Featuring live music and lots of fun for the whole family! We have plenty of things in store that any mom is sure to love as well!

Sunday, May 12

Mother's Day Brunch, Lynden Legion, 206 Lynden Rd.

Hosted by the Lynden Lions Club and the Lynden Legion, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $15 per adult, $10 per youth, $5 per child under 11. Moms and kids under 5 eat free.
