Election season officially kicked off this week, with Wednesday’s announcement of a provincial vote in February. With just four short weeks before we head to the polls, here’s some key information for Flamborough voters.
- Flamborough-Glanbrook is currently represented by PC Donna Skelly, who was acclaimed as the party’s candidate at the end of November. She was first elected to the legislature in 2018, and was re-elected in 2022.
- Janet Errygers is the Green Party candidate. The pharmaceutical industry professional has run at the provincial level for the Greens twice before.
- To date (Jan. 31), no other candidates have been officially announced for Flamborough-Glanbrook. A complete list of candidates will be available after 2 p.m. on Feb. 13.
- The local Elections Ontario office is located at the Rockton Fairgrounds (812 Old Highway 8) in the D.A. Campbell building, with voting hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and from 12 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
- Advance voting locations will be announced Feb. 14.
- Electors who are on the Register will receive a voter information card in the mail from Feb. 17 to 22 with information about when and where to vote. They must provide a piece of ID showing their home address to their polling station.
