We asked you, our loyal readers, to join us in supporting the Flamborough Food Bank this festive season — and your response was nothing short of extraordinary.

During the holidays, an increased number of people are reliant on our local food bank. This increased need means that the Flamborough Food Bank needs our support more than ever.

FlamboroughToday brought our whole community together to help provide that support.

We partnered with Sobeys Waterdown to offer gift cards for purchase through an online pop-up store.

FlamboroughToday and generous local businesses pledged to match every purchase made through the online store, meaning that every purchase was matched four times!

Together, we raised $1,875 for the Flamborough Food Bank and delivered 15 gift cards, helping to support those who need it most over the holiday season. Thank you!

Special thanks to Sobeys Waterdown for donating the gift cards for this initiative, and to the following businesses who have joined us in matching each donation: Fortinos - Waterdown, LEBE Jewellers and Little Brit Shop.

If you didn't get a chance to participate in this program, we encourage you to send your donation directly to the local food bank. You can give online or call (905-690-1036) to arrange a donation, or click here for more information on how to give back.
