Light the way for Santa
As is tradition, this year’s floats and bands will light the way for Santa with music and lighting providing a spectacular presentation and that WOW factor which will undoubtedly delight everyone. Thanks for joining us and enjoy the parade!
It is cold waiting for the parade to start, dress accordingly. Brings blankets to sit on and to wrap up in.
There are a few washrooms available at both parks, however there are also hundreds of participants in each of the parks (perhaps limit the liquids?).
It is dark, things get left behind – perhaps leave the favourite or valuable items at home. We do not have a lost and found.
The parade is run by community volunteers – please respect them as they are doing all that they can do to keep everyone safe while providing a memorable event for over 40,000 people.
Parade Route
Starting at 6:30pm sharp, the parade starts on Hamilton Street at Rockhaven Lane, and will wind through beautiful downtown Waterdown, ending at the corner of Hamilton Street and Parkside Drive.
Parking
Parking is available in and around the Parade Route.
Streets will be closed from 6:00 pm SHARP.
Streets will remain closed until the last float (Santa) crosses the finish line.
If you are planning to park within the boundaries of the parade route you will not be permitted to leave until the streets have officially re-opened. In addition, anyone parking outside the boundaries of the parade route will not be allowed to cross any part of the route until the end of the parade.
Please expect delays when you are exiting and watch for pedestrians.
Accessible Parking and Special Viewing Area at Turkstra Lumber.
Parking spaces are reserved for persons with disabilities and are provided courtesy of Turkstra Lumber in their parking lot located on Hamilton Street next to Home Hardware. Please remember to arrive before the roads close.
Volunteers
Volunteers play an important part in building the spirit of our community and our parade. Volunteers are needed every year for the Flamborough Santa Claus Parade and “We Want You”! We need people to help on parade day or throughout the year. If you can spare some time give us a call.

Donations
Parade Watchers – Once called the loonie bin, we rely on larger donation these days to help offset the parade costs. What would you normally pay for a night out where the whole family can be entertained? Why not put that amount in our donation bins? What a great way to show your support of the parade.
* New this year – TIPTAP GIVE. The Donation collectors throughout the parade will now have the convenience of TIPTAP machines. No cash? No problem. TAP your card on the machine when it comes by and make your donation to keep the parade coming back each year.
Watch along the Parade Route for the Donation collectors, who will be clearly identified as the FSCP Donation team. TAP your card on the machine, or drop your cash donation or cheque in to the collection bins to help us offset the costs associated with running a parade this size.
