VIDEO: Trudeau talks vaccines, microchips and his Trump-supporting brother

'Love him, still do, always will, but can’t have real conversations with him based on facts and reality': Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaks candidly about his half-brother on our Inside the Village podcast

Justin Trudeau’s half-brother is back in the headlines, this time for posting a series of social media videos endorsing Donald Trump for U.S. president.

“I really believe in my gut, my heart, my crown, that he’s a genuine person and he wants to leave a good legacy,” Kyle Kemper said in one clip posted to X on Monday.

Kemper's endorsement comes just a few months after he sat for a lengthy podcast interview with right-wing host Tucker Carlson, in which he said his brother should “repent” and apologize for what he’s done as prime minister. (Kemper and Trudeau are both the sons of Margaret Trudeau; Kemper’s father is Ottawa real-estate broker Fried Kemper.)

Justin Trudeau was a guest on this week’s episode of our Inside the Village podcast. At one point during the conversation, he spoke candidly about his younger half-brother while telling a story about an Ontario man who confronted him about vaccine mandates. The prime minister said the man accused him of trying to "poison" people.

“If he’s convinced that I’ve tried to inject microchips into him through an experimental vaccine, nothing I’m going to be able to say to him is going to convince him that actually I didn’t do that or didn’t want to do that,” Trudeau said.

“There are people that can’t be reached right now,” he continued. “We all have family members. I’ve got a half-brother who is in a pretty bad place since the pandemic. Love him, still do, always will, but can’t have real conversations with him based on facts and reality. And that is a real proportion of our communities, of our families, of our country that has gone that way.”
