WATCH: Kathleen Wynne has some things to say about Trump, Trudeau and tariffs

This week on our 'Inside the Village' podcast: We catch up with the former Ontario Premier, who has some interesting insights on Trudeau's resignation and Trump's looming trade war

Welcome back to Inside the Village, a one-of-a-kind podcast where all news is local — and no topic is off-limits.

On this week's episode: What would Kathleen Wynne do?

It's been a busy week in the world of Canadian politics, to say the least. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his resignation, Premier Doug Ford is hinting at an early election, and we're just days away from Donald Trump officially returning to the White House — and threatening a full-blown trade war with Canada.

Joining us to share her thoughts (and advice) is a former Ontario Premier who served during Trump's first term in the Oval Office. Wynne also knows a thing or two about what it's like to be in Trudeau's shoes: a political leader left with no choice but to step aside.

Hosted by Scott Sexsmith and Michael Friscolanti, the Editor-in-Chief of Village Media, Inside the Village is a news and current affairs podcast that provides a weekly window into some of the best local journalism from across our chain of Ontario newsrooms. Produced by Derek Turner, the program also explores bigger-picture issues that impact people across the province.
