Jonny's Gold Ribbon Gala is named for Jonathan Brown (shown with his parents, Allan and Claudia) who passed away in 2021. The Nov. 9 event far surpassed its goal of raising $250,000.

FlamboroughToday received the following letter of thanks to the community for supporting the Jonathan Brown Foundation.

We are thrilled to share that Jonny’s Gold Ribbon Gala, held on Saturday, Nov. 9, was a tremendous success. With over 500 people in attendance, we not only surpassed our fundraising goal but also succeeded in spreading awareness across our community about the importance of a pediatric children's hospice.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of those who attended, donated and supported us, we raised over $330,000 - well beyond our original goal of $250,000. This outcome ensures that Jonny’s Teen Room at Keaton’s House - Paul Paletta Children's Hospice will become a reality, providing a dedicated space for teenagers facing life-limiting illnesses and offering comfort and a sense of home for both them and their families.

We'll be continuing our campaign for Jonny's Teen Room at Keaton's House - Paul Paletta Children's Hospice until the end of November! Please continue to spread the word and encourage others to join us in supporting this incredibly important cause.

Thank you Flamborough, for helping to make a difference!
