A much-loved store for tradesmen, handymen, auto buffs and those who don't care about a little grease on their hands, is opening in Burlington next year.
A new Princess Auto store is set to open in Burlington by summer 2025. For many, it means they don't have to make the the trek to the next nearest location in east Hamilton.
The Burlington store - the 21st Princess Auto - will be located at 1200 Brant St., nestled between Best Buy and PetSmart (formerly Home Outfitters, and several seasonal businesses).
The Canadian retailer, based in Winnipeg, is a favourite among people who work with their hands, said Mike Kivell, Princess Auto’s Vice-President of Retail Operations for Ontario.
“Princess Auto customers are built differently: they may not dress fancy and might have grease on their hands, but they are part of the lifeblood of Canada that literally keeps our country running,” Kivell said.
“There is probably a group of hard-working Canadians who are excited about having a Princess Auto location closer to home, but the truth is, we’re just as pumped to be here,” he said. “This Burlington location will allow us to better serve customers who live in the growing market in southern Ontario.”
Princess Auto maintains no sale is final until the customer is satisfied. In addition to an industry-best return policy, Kivell said, the tools and equipment retailer strives to provide remarkable shopping experiences and go the extra mile to make things right.
“Opening our 21st store in Ontario is an amazing milestone that’s been many years in the making,” Kivell said. “We are excited to see the culmination of years of hard work pay off when we open in Burlington.”
