Sure, it's cozy at home on these cold winter nights...but for some real fun, here are a few great ideas for getting out this weekend!

Friday, Jan. 31

Much Ado About Nothing, Dundas Little Theatre, 37 Market St. S., Dundas

A witty and romantic comedy brimming with sharp banter, misunderstandings, and love. Set in a lively office environment, with an ‘80s and ‘90s flair and the buzz of social media, it follows Beatrice and Benedick’s fiery romance and Hero and Claudio’s tumultuous journey to the altar, offering laughter, drama, and heartfelt moments. Saturday, Feb. 1

Seedy Saturday, Hamilon Central Library, 55 York Blvd., Hamilton

Community event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Includes garden-minded vendors, environmental groups and local organizations. There will also be a seed exchange, a silent auction, and “Ask the Experts” panel and a screening of the documentary,  “In My Backyard.” Admission is free. 

Live music at the Waterdown Legion, 79 Hamilton St. N.

Kick up your heels to the tunes of Celtic Effect, 8 p.m. to midnight. Cover charge $5.

Trivia Night, St. James Anglican Church, 137 Melville St., Dundas

Doors open 6 p.m. Trivia with host Bob Morrow starts at 7 p.m. Bring your friends and form a team of 4 - 6 people. Tickets: $25 per person, includes chili, crusty roll and dessert.  Available online, at the Church or by calling 905-627-1424.

Winterlit, Mountsberg Conservation Area

Winterlit continues Friday, Jan. 31 through Sunday, Feb. 2, Visitors can enjoy a moonlit stroll along two different trails featuring sustainably sourced, illuminated art installations. Two-hour time slots are available with start times every 10 minutes between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. The cost for Conservation Halton members is $16 per adult or $14 per child or senior; for non-members the cost is $22 per adult and $19 per child or senior. Activities offered at additional fees include the Starry Night Hike, Beeswax Candle Making and Discovering Owls. For more info or ticket information, visit the Conservation Halton website.
