SAULT STE. MARIE - Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. (OLG) is pleased to make a third quarter (Oct. 1 – Dec. 31) payment totalling $1,007,299 to the City of Hamilton for hosting Elements Casino Flamborough.

So far, during OLG’s fiscal year (April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025), Hamilton has received $4,143,774. Since the gaming site opened in October 2000, Hamilton has received $109,972,812.

These payments to host communities are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site.

“OLG’s Municipality Contribution Agreement payments help pave the way for Hamilton to build critical infrastructure and fund important programs that make a real difference for residents,” said Donna Skelly, Member of Provincial Parliament for Flamborough–Glanbrook. “Elements Casino Flamborough supports numerous jobs and generates a great deal of economic activity that, in turn, improves the well-being of our local community.”

Over the past eight years, service providers have invested more than $2.5 billion in private sector capital investment across the province. These investments have led to the development and opening of seven new casinos, one large scale resort development, numerous gaming floor expansions and new non-gaming amenities.

OLG is a crown agency that contributes to a better Ontario by delivering great entertainment experiences for our customers. Acting in a socially responsible way, OLG conducts and manages land-based gaming facilities; the sale of province-wide lottery games; Internet gaming; and the delivery of bingo and other electronic gaming products at Charitable Gaming Centres. OLG is also helping support the horse racing industry in Ontario. Since 1975, OLG has generated approximately $62 billion for the people and Province of Ontario to support key government priorities like health care; the treatment and prevention of problem gambling; and support for amateur athletes. Each year profits from OLG's operations also support host communities, Ontario First Nations, lottery retailers and local charities across the province.
