Travel tips the focus of next Can We Help session in Waterdown

Local residents dreaming of their next vacation escape can get some valuable trip planning tips at the next Can We Help session at Knox Church Waterdown.

Jayne Firth, manager of the Burington CAA store, will be the featured speaker on Feb. 8. She will talk about some of the changes that are taking place within the travel industry. Those who attend will find out more about topics such as:

  • Fees (and more fees)
  • The benefits of travel insurance
  • Passenger rights when traveling

Firth will also focus on traveling safely whether the tip is far afield or closer to home. She'll touch on items such as entry requirements and things you can do to increase personal safety.

Can We Help takes pace Saturday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, 80 Mill St. N., Waterdown. Doors open at 9:30 a.m., and Tim Horton's coffee and Timbits will be served.
