UPDATE: March 21, 2024
The Ward 15 community council meeting focusing on emergency services has been postponed due to ongoing issues related to the city-wide cyberattack.
"The cyber attack left much of the City, including Fire Chief Cunliffe, without access to data to share with the Town Hall," said organizer Geoff Allen in an email. "Based on that, it was decided to postpone the Town Hall so a full and lively discussion on fire prevention, fire response, etc could be based on those statistics and data accumulated."
The Ward 15 council is planning a ‘Good Roads - Safe Streets’ Town Hall on Thursday, April 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Senior’s Centre at the Waterdown Library.

Flamborough residents can find out more about local emergency services at the next Town Hall meeting hosted by Ward 15 Coun. Ted McMeekin.
The session, which takes place March 28, follows last fall’s presentation on community policing. Hamilton Fire Chief David Cunliffe and Paramedic Chief Michael Sanderson have been invited to speak.
A Town Hall session is also planned in April, and will focus on safe streets.
“Listening to the concerns, suggestions, and recommendations of constituents is the cornerstone of effective representation,” McMeekin notes on his website. “Town Hall meetings connect residents with politicians and senior City staff, bringing concerned voices to the forefront.”
The March 28 Emergency Services town hall meeting takes place at 7 p.m. at the Waterdown Seniors Centre (163 Dundas St. East). Space is limited and registration is required.
