Waterdown's Joe Sams Park goes to the dogs...and Lions

Local event raised over $4,400 for Lions Foundation

Waterdown Lions, friends and dog lovers walked the walk at Joe Sams Park yesterday.

The local service club teamed up to raise money at the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides, and while attendance was lower than they hoped, they surpassed their $3,000 fundraising goal. According to their fundraising page, the local event has more than $4,400 in donations.

All money raised  will be used to enable the Lions Foundation to provide Canadians with disabilities Dog Guides at no cost to them and supporting each pair in their journey together.
