Passed away peacefully after a long and full life, surrounded by his family at Joseph Brant Hospital on August 2, 2024, in his 87th year.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Ruth Readman and loving father to Marylou (Bob), Carol (Wayne) and David (Shelley). Amazing Grandad to Brent (Michelle), Stephanie (Kieran), Jennifer (Ryan), Allison (James), Kimberly (Carter), Shannon, William, Jarrett (McKayla) and Joshua and Kyle and Great Grandad to Maverick, Payton, Madisyn, Tucker and Finn. Brother to Lorna and Murray. And many dear friends. Predeceased by brothers, Reg, Ken and Doug and parents, Annie and Lorne.
Ron enjoyed every moment with his friends and family. He was the friendly neighbor who found joy in helping others. He spent his years in nature and caring for the earth.
A Celebration of Ron’s Life will take place on Friday, August 9th at 2:00 p.m. at CARLISLE UNITED CHURCH, 1432 Centre Road, Carlisle.
In lieu of flowers a donation to Bethel Memorial Chapel and Cemetery or Lowville United Church would be appreciated.
