On February 7, 2025, Mom, Grandma, Nana, peacefully left this world at the age of 99, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Madge was a loving Mom (Arleen [Robert], Roy [Cindy], Pam [Richard]), encouraging Grandma, doting Nana, supportive Sister, and caring Friend to countless others. Predeceased by a beloved daughter, Denise (1965), and the love of her life of 48 years, Roy Kitching (1994). Madge connected with others through her wit, her cozy knitting, infectious laughter, and captivating stories or words of wisdom. Once Madge was a part of your life, she would use her ways to fuel you with kindness.
Madge lived a life in service to others, from greeting others at Church, serving students at breakfast clubs, running a flower shop, starting social coffee groups, and attending Probus. She spent countless hours volunteering, supporting her husband through the Lions club, teaching ballroom dancing, writing poetry and running fashion shows. There was never a dull moment in Madge’s life. Madge’s legacy of caring will be lived on by countless others.
A Celebration of Life will be held at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Saturday, April 26th, 2025 from 1-4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation can be made in her memory.
