Passed away peacefully at Margaret’s Place Hospice on Monday, August 5th at the age of 53. Loving husband and best friend to Amber (Amberlee Martlew) for 31 years. Cherished father to Natalya and Alexander. Treasured son of Irene Kosubovich Anderson (Ron) and the late Paul Kosubovich (2011), and son-in-law of Robin and Erika Martlew. Will also be missed by dear sisters Linda Gould (Shane) and Lisa Parris (Bradley) and brothers-in-law Devon Martlew, Jordan Martlew (Shalane) and Jamie Martlew (Laura). Special uncle to Serena, Amaris and Simon Gould, Kalen and Jenna Parris, and Aurora and Fox Martlew. He will also be missed by cousins, aunts and uncles in Canada, the USA, and Ukraine.

David will be fondly remembered by colleagues and clients that he worked with over his exemplary 35 year career with RBC. He genuinely cared about other people and made many lasting relationships both personally and professionally. He was very avid about his hobbies including music, concerts, old and new VWs, motorsports, and his extensive Star Wars collection. David was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage and was grateful for the trips he took to visit his family in Ukraine. The family wish to thank the skilled and compassionate staff for caring for him at the Jurvanski cancer centre and hospital (ward C3), home care nurse Ashley, Dr. Kiani, ND, Dr. Kazemi, Dr. Fugere and the team at Margaret’s Place hospice.

Friends may visit with the family at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Ukrainian Orthodox prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, 701 Stone Church Rd. E., Hamilton on Friday, August 9th starting at 11 a.m. Livestream will be available for those unable to attend in person. Reception will follow the service in the Church Hall. Private interment St. Augustine Cemetery, Dundas. Memorial donations to Margaret’s Place or Pancreatic Cancer Canada are appreciated.
