'Do not approach': Hamilton Police search for suspect in summer shooting

On Aug. 25, 2024, at approximately 5:40 am, a shooting occurred outside the former Club 33 located at 33 Bowen Street, Hamilton. The shooting injured three people, leaving two of them with life altering injuries. The Shooting Response Team has continued the investigation and can announce that a warrant has been issued for the individual responsible for this shooting.

A Warrant of Arrest has been issued for 29-year-old Cory Parnell of Hamilton for the following offences:

  1. Knowledge of an Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm CC 92(1)
  2. Possession of a Prohibited Loaded Firearm CC 95(1) (a)
  3. Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Court Order CC 117.01(1)
  4. Discharge a Firearm with Intent 3 counts CC 244 (1)
  5. Reckless Discharge of a Firearm CC 244.2(1)(b)
  6. Fail to Comply with Probation Order CC 733.1(1)
  7. Operation While Prohibited CC 320.18(1)
  8. Aggravated Assault 3 counts CC 268

The Hamilton Police Service are encouraging Cory Parnell to retain legal counsel and arrange to turn himself in. 

If you encounter Cory Parnell, please do not approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous.
