Large bronze statue stolen from Ancaster's Resurrection Cemetery

The bronze statue of St. Teresa of Avila went missing sometime last weekend, police say

Hamilton Police say a large bronze statue has been stolen from Resurrection Cemetery in Ancaster.

The theft occurred some time over the weekend – between Friday, Sept. 6, and Monday, Sept. 9, at 254 Garner Rd. W.

In a news release police described the statue as a "unique bronze depiction of St. Teresa of Avila." 

The missing statue is about 3 ½ ft. to 4 ft. tall, police said.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity or has information related to the theft to contact Det.-Const. Kevin Jarrett at 905-540-6307 or Staff Sgt. Groombridge at 905-546-2991.
