Suspect sought following sexual assault on Hamilton Mountain

Anyone with information about the Sept. 3 incident is asked to contact police

Hamilton Police are seeking assistance from the community as they continue to investigate a sexual assault that occurred on a walking path near Gourley Park on Hamilton Mountain.

On Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024, at approximately 9 p.m., police received a report of a sexual assault. The victim, while walking in the area near Brigadoon Drive, was approached and assaulted by an unknown male suspect.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident to check their home surveillance or vehicle dash cameras for any suspicious activity between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on the night of Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Suspect Description:

  • Male
  • Over 6 feet tall
  • Black beard
  • Wearing a dark or black oversized hoodie and dark or black long pants
