This October, Red Hill Car Wash in Waterdown is transforming its front lawn into a spook-tacular display for a cause. Kicking off on October 1st, the Haunted Bones: 31 Nights of Frights food drive will run through the entire month, with the goal of raising donations for the Flamborough Food Bank.

With community support as the driving force, the car wash is collaborating with Fortinos Waterdown, which will offer a free coffee coupon to anyone who donates, as well as Waterdown Collision, which has already initiated a month-long food drive to contribute to the cause.

As an added bonus, Red Hill Car Wash will be offering a choice of $2 off a tunnel car wash, a free VIP microfiber towel, or a Red Hill Car Wash air freshener with every donation. The Apple Orchard will also be handing out free apples, while supplies last!

The haunted event will feature creative displays of ultra-posable skeletons, creating a family-friendly and eerie atmosphere to encourage community members to give back. Local businesses have also joined the initiative, including Staples, Turkstra, Dairy Queen, Free 2 Be, Michelle My Belle Bridal, European Autosport, Rescued and Restored, The Apple Orchard, Canadian Tire, Perfect Touch Nail & Spa, Grindstone Pets, Boston Pizza, Rustic Daisy, The Color Bar Waterdown, and Terra Greenhouses Waterdown.

All collected donations will be delivered to the Flamborough Food Bank during the first week of November, ensuring timely help for those in need as the holiday season approaches.

Melanie Sands, owner and general manager of Red Hill Car Wash, shared her excitement for the event:

"Our community food bank’s needs have skyrocketed, and I wanted to do something fun to help. I chose Fortinos because it’s my go-to grocery store, and I’ve heard great things about the manager, Miklos, and his involvement in the community. He jumped on board without hesitation! Waterdown Collision has also stepped up by running a food drive throughout September to contribute to our efforts. Having lived in Flamborough for 23 years, this is our home, and we’re excited to give back to our community."

Get into the Halloween spirit while making a difference—join the Haunted Bones: 31 Nights of Frights food drive at Red Hill Car Wash and help support local families in need.
