Knox Presbyterian Church is cooking up a hearty spaghetti dinner fundraiser this month, and the community is invited to get in on the fun.
The meal will be served up in continuous seatings on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
“It will be a full spaghetti dinner and dessert,” said church volunteer Brian Hall.
After the meal, guests will be treated to a 30-minute National Geographic documentary in the church sanctuary.
Tickets for the meal cost $15 each, and all money raised will help pay for new projector and lighting equipment for the church.
“Both our (projectors) went out, and we’ve been renting one but it’s not good quality,” said Hall, noting that the units cost $10,000 to replace. “We use them for services, to announce the hymns, and support material on Sundays.”
To purchase tickets for the Oct. 24 spaghetti dinner at Knox Church (80 Mill St. N., Waterdown), contact Hall at 905-815-7432, or the church office at 905-689-8115. Darlene Wilkinson (905-637-9372) and Ann Lalonde (905-689-4636) also have tickets available.
