Flamborough fire station open houses draw families, food donations

Annual holiday tradition returns after 5-year hiatus

After a five-year hiatus, fire stations across the cities held their Thanksgiving Open House on  Monday.

Families who visited stations in Waterdown, Greensville, Freelton, Rockton an Lynden had a chance to talk with firefighters, try on their gear and even sit in the fire trucks. It was also a great opportunity to learn fire safety tips from the pros.

The annual holiday tradition also included collecting donations for the food bank.
