Craving a hearty community lunch or dinner? What about live music, or the launch of this year's Christmas Land? 

It's all going on this weekend.

Friday, Nov. 22

Karaoke Night - Waterdown Legion, 79 Hamilton St. N.

From 8 p.m. to midnight. $5 cover charge, please bring along a donation for the Flamborough Food Bank.

Family Christmas Night, Christ Church Flamborough, 92 Hwy. 8

Crafts, Christmas story, hot chocolate and cookies, starting at 7 p.m. All ages, free admission.

Saturday, Nov. 23

Homemade Soup and Chili Lunch, Westover Women’s Institute Hall, 1353 6th Concession W.

Lunch served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Soup, buns, chili, dessert. Adults: $12, kids under 12: $5, kids under 3: free. Eat in or take out - preorder takeout by calling 905-818-9642. Homemade cookies in decorative tins will also be available to purchase. Proceeds support WI projects in the community.

Live Music, Waterdown Library, 163 Dundas St. E.

The eight-piece Peter Banting Swingtet performs from 1 to 2 p.m. to celebrate the holiday season.

Fall Craft Market, Beverly Hills Estates, 1294 8th Concession W.

All welcome! Sale runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free admission.

Christmas in the Country Bazaar, Carlisle United Church, 1432 Centre Rd.

Bazaar will run alongside the Local Artisan and Vendor Sale at the church from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Community Dinner - Mountsberg Baptist Church, 241 Campbellville Rd.

Seatings at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Spaghetti dinner, tea/coffee and dessert PLUS entertainment and pie auctions. Free will donation, and donations of hats, gloves, socks and underwear greatly needed. Call 519-532-0858 or email [email protected]

Christmas Land Tree Lighting, 16 Weneil Dr., Freelton

We will light up this year's Christmas display at 6pm sharp. 40,000+ lights, 250+ characters, Face cutouts, music and a full sized Santa Sleigh for pictures. Many new pieces and more lights than ever! As always, we are collecting non-perishable food and cash for the Flamborough Food Bank.
