Knox Church community event raised $1,000 to help cover costs of projection equipment

Knox Presbyterian Church Waterdown served up a hearty spaghetti dinner with a side of fellowship at their latest fundraiser Wednesday evening.

The Mill Street North Church hosted more than 50 hungry diners, who enjoyed salad, rolls, pasta and an ice cream treat, and had a chance to visit with friends and neighbours.

Organizers were happy with the turnout, which helped raise money to cover the $10,000 cost of new projection equipment for the church.

"We raised just shy of $1,000,  bringing our total raised to $7,400, leaving $2,600 to go," noted Brian Hall, who emceed the event.

Knox Church's next event will be an “Old Fashioned Christmas Breakfast” on Saturday, Dec. 14.
