IN PHOTOS: Loaves and holiday wishes at St. James United Church

Fifteen vendors, home baking and hearty take-home meals were part of the fun

Fall is bazaar season around Flamborough - and Waterdown's St. James United Church got in on the fun on Saturday with their Loaves and Wishes sale.

The local tradition featured four tables of home baking, plus hearty shepherd pies and cabbage rolls to take home. As well, 15 vendors from the local area as well as Pot Dover, Caledonia, Grimsby and Cambridge were on hand with their unique creations to kick start holiday shopping.

Depsite some disruption outside at the Parkside Drive church due to construction, parking was available and business was brisk.

"It was a super busy and fun time," said Ruth Nicholson, one of the event organizers.
