GO trains on the Lakeshore West line will run on modified weekend service for the next three weeks.

Starting Saturday Dec. 7, GO Transit will be temporarily modifying their weekend service on the Lakeshore West line until December 22. The delays and changes are due to construction at Exhibition station.

Instead of the trains arriving every half hour, the trains will now arrive every hour between West Harbour GO and Union Station.

The dates that will be affected by these modifications are:

  • Dec. 7 and 8, 2024.
  • Dec. 14 and 15, 2024.
  • Dec. 21 and 22, 2024.

Due to these modifications, GO Bus connection times will be adjusted as well with wait times being longer than usual.

Those who wish to connect to GO buses on Route 12, 15, and 18 may see connection times from eight minutes earlier to 49 minutes later.

The reason for the change in schedule is to "allow for critical track work along the corridor" according to Metrolinx; they are expanding Exhibition Station to help accommodate the future Ontario subway line.
