Local students and their families can get Future Ready at a special session at Waterdown District High School (WDHS) this Wednesday evening.
WDHS Parent Council, in partnership with Healthy Youth Network, is hosting Future Ready 2024 on April 24 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The initiative to help students determine their career path provides discussion on career planning and the skills and resources required to be future ready.
The evening will feature speaker Kyle Cleveland, who will discuss topics such as the differences between university and college, how to finance post-secondary education, the benefits of co-op programs and more.
Afterwards, attendees can visit the many information booths in the cafeteria hosted by various organizations to support all of these topics, including hands-on learning opportunities, careers in the military, the trades, the arts and more.
