The team at stuffed. Handcrafted Perogies were served up a special honour at their booth during the Waterdown Farmers' Market Saturday.
Organizers of the 2024 Flamborough Chili Fest stopped by to present the People's Choice Award trophy from this year's event, which took place Oct. 6. Stuffed served up their Classic Chili and a vegetarian/vegan chili, along with Frito pie at the event.
Stuffed also placed second in the Best Judged Chili, with Cascata Bistro Catering's spicy duck confit chili taking the Grand Champion title, and Boston PIzza placing third.
"Congratulations to all of the other award winners and participants who helped to make this fundraising event such a success!" said Michelle Schmidt of stuffed. "And thank you again to the Community who helped to support the Flamborough Women's Resource Centre this weekend! We couldn't have done it without your generosity."
All funds from Chili Fest, including sales at local restaurants on Oct. 5, support Flamborough Women's Resource programming and Women's Education and Rural Support (WEARS) initiatives.
