Peacefully passed away at Hampton Terrace Care Centre, Burlington, in her 97th year, on Thursday, January 2, 2024. Predeceased by her beloved husband Leonard (2006). Loving mother of Linda (Paul), and John (Trudy). Cherished grandmother of Melissa (Nic); and their son Kai, and Jessica (Ryan); and their children Wesley and Ayden. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters in both Canada and Ukraine, and survived by her brother-in-law Stephan Cherepa in Portugal. Anne will be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Started her work career at Easterbrook’s and worked for many years at Russell Williams Restaurant. She loved her flowers, her pets and to play cards and was a talented artist. She was an ace at Word Find. She was an excellent cook and kept the Ukrainian traditions going well into her 90’s. Her family meant the world to her and she loved family gatherings and was always ready to party. She was a mom, grandma and great grandma to her family and to a lot of friends and their children. She had a beautiful smile and was always smiling. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
