Into the loving arms of her Savior, Ingrid Karoline Juraschka (nee Baumbach) passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, at the age of 86 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Juraschka (1999), with whom she shared 39 years of marriage. Ingrid was the devoted mother of René (Karen), Iris, and Tu-Le (David). Her family was her pride and joy, and her life was brightened by her grandchildren: Katrina (Ashley), Kaela (Brad), Kyle (Justine), Nicole (Scott), Matthew (Emily), Kaitlin (Christiaan), Kelsey (Christopher), Heidi (Andre), Nathaniel, and Christian. Nothing brought her more happiness than her great-grandchildren: Zavier, Sadie, Luke, Emily, Wyatt, Dean, Kolt, Elliott and Stella, whose visits would light up her eyes.
Ingrid was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews, both in Canada and Germany. Her Canadian home became a summer getaway for nieces and nephews from Germany, whom she hosted with open arms and love. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, she was raised by a caring family, and she carried those values throughout her life.
A lifelong gardener, Ingrid spent years growing cut flowers in her greenhouse and could never be without fresh blooms on her table. She delighted in gathering and nothing brought her more joy than a table crowded with family sharing food and laughter. She was an avid reader, known for her habit of reading the ending of books first, and she enjoyed the challenge of crosswords and Sudoku. In her later years, she embraced technology, learning to use her iPad to stay connected with loved ones. With a generous heart, Ingrid was always ready to help those in need.
Her warmth, kindness, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
