Peacefully passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the age of 88. Predeceased by her beloved husband of over 61 years, Alec Cecil Prowse (2019). Devoted mother of Denise and Rob Gardner, and Andy and Ceri Prowse. Cherished grandmother of James (Teresa), Alex (Adam), Victoria, Ash, and great-grandmother of Madison, Oliver, and Jackson. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Maureen worked at Pennwalt in Oakville as a computer operator from 1980 until she retired in 1998. From there they moved to the cottage on Kennisis Lake where she enjoyed painting, working with glass and puzzles when she wasn’t having family or friends up for a visit.
Cremation has taken place. If desired, a donation in Maureen’s memory to Joseph Brant Hospital would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to acknowledge the nurses and doctors at Joseph Brant Hospital for the support to Maureen and the family.
