Shortly after 7 p.m. on Thursday, Hamilton police responded to 135 Mary St. for a stabbing incident. Officers located a male victim with a stab wound to their chest and they were transported to hospital. Once at hospital, life saving surgery was performed by staff, however, the victim remains critical. Hamilton police arrested a 53-year-old Hamilton man at the scene. The accused is charged with aggravated assault and Division 10 Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
