Driver killed in two-vehicle crash in Waterdown

Three others received minor injuries, say Hamilton Police

First responders work near a white Toyota that was badly damaged in a collision on Dundas Street East last night. The driver of the other vehicle, a black Dodge Ram, was killed.

Hamilton Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Dundas Street East and Avonsyde Boulevard just after 11 p.m. last night.

On Tuesday, July 23, 2024 shortly after 11 p.m., Hamilton Police received 911 calls reporting a collision involving a black Dodge Ram and a white Toyota. The 42-year-old driver of the Dodge Ram was transported to the hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. Three individuals from the Toyota were also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continued to investigate at the scene this morning. Dundas Street East remained closed in both directions from Mallard Trail to Evans Road and was expected to reopen by about 8 a.m.
