Ingersoll man, 32, charged in series of Flamborough break-ins

Hamilton Police say 6 businesses in Waterdown and Flamborough were targeted between Oct. 11 and Oct. 23

Between October 11th and October 23rd, 2024 a series of commercial Break and Enter incidents were reported in the Waterdown and Flamborough areas. The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit has successfully identified a 32-year-old male as the responsible person for six break and enter incidents at commercial properties, as well as possession of three stolen motor vehicles.

On October 28th, 2024 Hamilton Police arrested Derek James Tuffin of Ingersoll for the following charges:

  • Break and Enter – Commit: 6 counts
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000: 3 counts
  • Possession of Burglary Tools
  • Fail to Comply with Probation: 12 counts
