Masked bandits broke into Hamilton Mountain home, say police

Resdidents were inside during early morning home invasion where suspects stole cash and jewelry

Hamilton Police are seeking the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding a recent home invasion.

On Wednesday, Nov. 20, at approximately 3:20 a.m., a group of masked suspects broke into a residence in the area of Highland Road West and Winterberry Drive while the occupants were home.

The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash and jewellery before fleeing the scene in two vehicles:

  • A newer model white Honda Civic
  • An older model silver Honda CRV

During the escape, one of the suspects in the silver Honda CRV displayed a handgun to witnesses.

Police believe this incident was targeted and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

Hamilton Police urge residents and businesses in the area to review any video surveillance footage from the timeframe of the incident. Your footage may provide valuable evidence to assist with the investigation.
